Fame: Dancing in the Streets!

On Sunday 12th July hundreds of dancers took to the street to recreate the famous Fame dance scene.

TCM Capture Your Classic asked you to recreate your favourite movie scenes and put them on here for the chance to win a holiday. This Fame video was us capturing our classic, with lots of help from members of the public. It was a great day with the fabulous Johnny & Denise leading the cast.

The winner of the holiday to LA is... John B!

John was one of our Soho Square entrants who took the opportunity to dive into our fancy dress box and be filmed acting out his entry for the competition. With his friends they did a very ‘original’ version of The Wizard of Oz with a slightly risqué title! Congratulations to John who won the week long trip to LA with flights, accommodation and £1,000 spending money.

Celebrating your favourite movie scenes

TCM conducted a movie scene poll to find out your favourite scenes to recreate for Capture Your Classic.

Five of them were chosen and added on the right to give you some inspiration. We didn’t stop there though, there was also a ‘freestyle’ section making the world of film your oyster.

The competition ran throughout the summer and finished at the end of August, thanks to everyone who took part!
