Feature film in 5 days – Le Donk and Scor-zay-zee
Find out about the film made on a tiny budget in five days...British film’s dream team, Nottingham-born Shane Meadows and actor-turned-director, Paddy Considine have pulled off a major coup with their recent film, Le Donk and Scor-zay-zee – they’ve made it in just five days with a tiny budget of under £50k, which apparently included the funds for launch and a party at the Edinburgh Festival. Meadows has carved out a niche for himself as an original and stylish chronicler of British contemporary life with his feature films, Once Upon a Time in the West Midlands, Somers Town and This is England. For this, his latest challenge, he leaped upon the talents of a diverse and fascinating cast including a portly Midlands rapper, Scor-zay-zee, The Arctic Monkeys, Paddy Considine and Olivia Coleman. There’s plenty of laughs to be had in the largely improvised, mockumentary-style comedy about a delusional roadie.
