Police Academy - Monday 18th June at 9pm
The sixth biggest grossing film in the US in 1984, Police Academy stars Steve Guttenberg, Kim Cattrall and G.W. Bailey. As a crime wave sweeps through a major city, the mayor decides that part of the problem may stem from overly restrictive qualifications for police officers, and so opens the door of the city's Police Academy to anyone who wants to join. The film spawned six more additions to the franchise, as well as two TV series.
Garden State - Monday 25th June at 9pm
Winner of the 'Hollywood Breakthrough Director of the Year' Award at the Hollywood Film Festival, Garden State is a 2004 comedy-drama written by, directed by, and starring Zach Braff, with Natalie Portman, Peter Sarsgaard, and Sir Ian Holm. The film centers on Andrew Largeman (Braff), a 26-year-old actor/waiter who returns to his hometown in New Jersey after his mother dies.
